1. About Factory Adda

Factory Adda is an industrial compliance and factory management platform. Depending on the features available to your account, the application may help you access factory records, manage compliance information and documents, submit service requests, receive reminders and notifications, review subscription or payment-related records, submit documents, and explore or enquire about industrial properties.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Factory Adda mobile application and related Factory Adda services that link to this policy.

2. Information We May Collect or Process

The information processed by Factory Adda depends on the features you use. It may include the following categories.

Factory Adda does not require you to provide information that is unrelated to the functionality you choose to use.

3. Device File, Photo and Media Access

When you choose a feature that allows document, image or profile-photo upload, the application may ask Android for permission to select files, photos or other media from your device, depending on your Android version and device settings.

This access is used to allow you to select and upload the content you intentionally choose for the relevant Factory Adda feature. Factory Adda does not use file or media access to scan unrelated personal content.

4. How We Use Information

Factory Adda may use information to:

• create, authenticate and maintain user accounts;
• verify access to factories linked to the user;
• display factory, compliance and document information;
• process document submissions and service requests;
• provide compliance and subscription reminders;
• respond to industrial property enquiries;
• send operational emails and in-app notifications;
• support account recovery and password-reset verification;
• maintain security, audit and application-usage records;
• prevent misuse and troubleshoot technical problems;
• provide customer support and requested Factory Adda services; and
• comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations.

5. How Information May Be Shared

Factory Adda does not sell personal or sensitive user information.

Information may be shared only where reasonably necessary for the operation of the service, including:

• Authorised Factory Adda personnel: information may be accessible to authorised administrators or personnel who need it to provide compliance, document, service, support or account functions.
• Service providers: limited information may be processed by infrastructure, hosting, email-delivery, communication or other technical service providers used to operate Factory Adda.
• External services selected by you: when you intentionally open an external website, map, phone, email or similar service from the app, that service may process information under its own terms and privacy policy.
• Legal requirements: information may be disclosed when required by applicable law, court order, regulatory requirement or a valid governmental request.
• Business transfer: if Factory Adda is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring or transfer of business, information may be transferred subject to applicable law and appropriate notice where required.

6. Security

Factory Adda uses reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, loss, misuse or disclosure. These measures may include authenticated access, role-based access controls, password hashing, limited factory access, secure server-side validation and protected document access.

Users are responsible for keeping their login credentials and OTPs confidential and should not share passwords or verification codes with unauthorised persons.

No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account or information has been compromised, contact Factory Adda promptly.

7. Data Retention

Factory Adda retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain the account, support compliance and service records, resolve disputes, protect the platform and meet legitimate legal, contractual, accounting or regulatory requirements.

Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information. For example, compliance or transaction-related records may need to be retained longer where required for legal, audit or business-record purposes.

When information is no longer required, Factory Adda may anonymise or securely archive it as appropriate.

8. Your Choices and Responsibilities

You may:

• review information shown in your account;
• contact Factory Adda to request correction of inaccurate account information;
• decline optional device permissions, although the related upload feature may not work without the required access;
• contact Factory Adda with questions about how your information is handled.

If you upload documents or information concerning another person or organisation, you are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate authority to provide that information to Factory Adda.

9. Notifications and Emails

Factory Adda may send operational communications related to your account, compliance reminders, subscription reminders, document review, service requests, account security, password recovery, support or other functionality you use.

These communications are intended to support the service and are not intended to disclose the identity of internal Factory Adda staff to clients unless disclosure is necessary for the requested service.

10. Children

Factory Adda is a business and industrial-management application and is not intended for children. Users should be legally capable of using the service or authorised to act for the relevant business or factory.

11. Third-Party Websites and Services

The application may contain links or actions that open third-party services, websites, maps, phone functions, email applications or other external resources. Factory Adda is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. You should review the privacy policy of the external service before providing information to it.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

Factory Adda may update this Privacy Policy when the application, services, legal requirements or data-handling practices change. The revised policy will be published with an updated effective date.

Material changes may also be communicated through the application or another appropriate communication channel when required.
